Adding Items to Your Vault

Oculock supports many different types of items you can store in your vault. This guide will show you how to add each type.

Basic Steps for Adding Any Item

  1. Open the vault where you want to add the item
  2. Tap the "+" button (usually in the top right or bottom of the screen)
  3. Select the type of item you want to add
  4. Fill in the required information
  5. Tap "Save" to store the item

Item Types

1. Login (Passwords)

Store website and service passwords with usernames and URLs.

Fields:

  • Title/Name (e.g., "Gmail", "Facebook")
  • Username or Email
  • Password
  • Website URL (optional)
  • Notes (optional)

Tip: Use the password generator to create a strong, unique password when creating new accounts.

2. Credit Card

Store credit card information securely.

Fields:

  • Cardholder Name
  • Card Type (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
  • Card Number
  • Expiry Date
  • CVV (stored securely)
  • Issuing Bank (optional)
  • Phone Number (optional)

3. Bank Account

Store banking information.

Fields:

  • Name on Account
  • Account Type (Checking, Savings, etc.)
  • Routing Number
  • Account Number
  • PIN (optional)
  • Bank Name

4. Identity Document

Store ID cards, passports, driver's licenses, and other identity documents.

Fields:

  • Document Type (Passport, Driver's License, etc.)
  • Document Number
  • First Name, Last Name, Middle Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Issue Date and Expiry Date
  • Issuing Authority and Country
  • Address information
  • Social Security Number (optional)

5. Secure Note

Store any text-based information, including notes, API keys, recovery codes, etc.

Features:

  • Title
  • Note content (unlimited text)
  • Attach photos/images

6. Secure Document

Store important documents like PDFs, images, or other files.

Features:

  • Document title
  • Upload documents from your device
  • View documents securely within the app

7. Wireless Router

Store WiFi network and router information.

Fields:

  • Network Name (SSID)
  • WiFi Password
  • Router IP Address
  • Router Username and Password
  • Router Model and Manufacturer
  • Encryption Type
  • Guest Network information (optional)

Editing Items

How to Edit an Item

  1. Open the vault containing the item
  2. Find and tap the item you want to edit
  3. Tap the "Edit" button (usually shown as a pencil icon)
  4. Make your changes
  5. Tap "Save" to update the item

Deleting Items

How to Delete an Item

  1. Open the item you want to delete
  2. Tap the "Delete" button (usually shown as a trash icon)
  3. Confirm the deletion

Organizing Items

Categories

Items can be organized into categories. The app provides default categories, and you can also create custom categories.

Favorites

Mark frequently used items as favorites for quick access. Tap the star icon on any item to add it to your favorites.

Search

Use the search bar at the top of the vault to quickly find items by name, username, or any text content.

Copying Passwords and Data

To copy a password or other sensitive data:

  1. Open the item
  2. Tap the field you want to copy (password, username, etc.)
  3. The data will be copied to your clipboard
  4. You can then paste it into the app or website you need
